Open Meadow Games is Official

The paperwork is done. Open Meadow Games is officially registered in British Columbia, and what has been a kitchen-table project for months is now a real studio with a real name.

The Park & Hide RV parked in a meadow

Why Open Meadow

After 17 years working in the game industry, I wanted to build something of my own: small, personal, and unhurried. The name comes from the feeling I keep chasing in the games I love most — stepping out into an open space with no marker telling you where to go, just a quiet world inviting you to wander.

What I'm Building

The studio's first game is Park & Hide, a cozy stealth camping adventure. You inherit a camper van, hit the road, and build a life one campsite at a time: exploring beautiful landscapes, meeting quirky locals, decorating your RV, and trying not to get caught spending the night where you maybe shouldn't be.

It's in active development in Godot, and everything you'll see for a while is placeholder and concept art. I'd rather share the messy middle than wait for perfect.

Where to Follow

The website you're reading is live, and Open Meadow Games is on Instagram, X, Threads, TikTok, Bluesky, and itch.io. I'll be posting dev updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and the occasional campfire story right here on the blog.

This marks the beginning of something special. Thanks for being here early.
